Tell Someone You Love Them
Steve and I have been together for a long time. Since 1989, in fact. We got married young; he was 19 and I was 21. It's funny how circumstances and life bring two people together. We became friends when we both worked at a frozen yogurt shop, during the summer break after my freshman year of college. I don't really believe in fate, but I guess you can just chalk it up to really awesome circumstances that brought us together so early in our lives; because honestly, I can't imagine traveling through life without him by my side.
With that said, though I feel like we do have visible adoration for each other in our daily lives, sometimes taking the few moments to actually SPEAK words out loud to convey love and appreciation, are easily forgotten. I think that once you are with someone for a long period of time, you just hope that they will infer your notions of gratitude and love. But on occasion, taking the time to utter theses ideas out loud really means a lot.

So today, join me in telling someone in your life who you are really grateful for and who makes your life brighter just for being a part of it, how much you love them; or how awesome they are; or how much you appreciate them; or ANYTHING that you know will really mean a lot to them if you speak the words out loud.
It can be your partner, or friend, or sibling, or parent ... the checker at the grocery store, a teacher, or a neighbor. The world is full of people who will really appreciate you taking the time to tell them how much they rock. And it's a funny thing how being thoughtful towards another tends to make you feel great yourself.
Appreciate. Love. Don't wait.
