She is Herself

“Not gifted with genius, but honestly holding her experience deep in her heart, she keeps it simple and humane. Not worrying about style, she is herself, she breathes fully, she is alive, and she remembers to write.”

~ Adapted from Nanao Sakaki’s Inch by Inch translation
of Issa’s haiku

Who Are You When No One Is Looking?

Being content with the person you are means accepting yourself unconditionally. Sure, you can always make improvements and work on goals each new day, but in the interim of reaching those milestones, learn to find contentment. If you discover that you are constantly working to be someone you're not, you'll continuously be frustrated. So be yourself and be proud of the YOU that you are!

Nobody understands you better than yourself and that's a positive thing indeed.

  • Learn to be at peace with that person.
  • Be your own best friend.
  • Learn to appreciate all of the quirky attributes that make you different from everyone else.

As the photo below says, "You are who you you are when no one is looking." So who is that person? Are you accepting of that person? If not, don't worry, you aren't alone. But start working on it. Don't write off struggles as failures; instead, view them as stepping stones to better and brighter things. Learn to accept the journey of life - the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Having clarity about who you are is empowering and the first step in making your dreams become reality. Don't get ensnared in battles of internal drama and fear of the unknown; but rather, be honest about apprehensions and view them as challenges that you are capable of overcoming.

You CAN be happy with the "person you are when no one is looking." It's all in your hands and the choice is yours. Be content with individual you see in the mirror. There's not another one like you and it's time to be proud of what you behold.
