Jinxi -

1. I love your way with words and your intuition concerning art. It is always nice to know that I am not the only English junkie out there who feels completely possessed and obsessed with words.
2. My roommate, who also enjoys baking, is going to try your chocolate vegan cupcakes!
3. I am so honored that you read my silly little blog! (Scratch that. Write in.) Living in the bubble, I definitely have to edit some of my opinions or personal beliefs. I have a feeling that might change when I move home. :)
4. Your tattoos are beautiful! Although I think the ones of your family are so lifelike and right on (I watched the Wife Swap episode), my personal favorites are the "Free thinker" and the "Learn and think" on your hands.
5. I also admire your emphasis on individuality and on having the ability to question "why." I think that in organized religion, people too often fall in line without questioning the purpose behind the rule. For example, in regards to same-sex marriage, Mormons are instructed to oppose it. Why? Yes, I understand the reasoning/propaganda behind opposing it; however, I find the arguments unjustifiable. Forty years ago, people were also against interracial marriages simply based on race (and this opinion is still prevalent today with some people). I find it illiberal to be against same-sex marriage simply based on sexual orientation. It seems hypocritical for the Church that practiced polygamy to condemn same-sex marriage. (Whew. Enough venting! Can't you tell I'm Melanie's daughter? :)
6. I will definitely be looking at your blog from now on! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jinxi, I happened to come across your blog through Stumble Upon and very glad that I read on! I love your interesting entries and was happy to hear about the adventures of a fellow swimmer! The Wife Swap episode was also very insightful--I enjoyed watching the experiences of both families. It is great to see how gaining knowledge of different perspectives can give a deeper understanding of others' opinions. Thanks for making my night interesting; I look forward to following your writings in the future!

you are an amazing inspiration to me (or did i already mention that recently?)

when you do get a chance to scope out my blogspot, plz let me know what you think of it.
the princess header was just a rush job thing, i needed something in there. it will take me
some time to find the perfect header that totally reflects ME. although! i DO have the princess
thing goin on, tiaras & wands all over my PINK room, on my car dashboard :O luvit :) it's just me.
also have an angel thing goin on. got my ink 1.5 yrs ago. my oldest daughter Serena, 24, her friend
Benji brought all his "gear" over & did it in the comfort of my livingroom! i was sooo relaxed, got to
take smoke breaks, etc. + he charged me wayyy less than the average per hour price. it took a longggg time to do them, i think over 3 hrs. i want to do sooo much more to them, make them go alll the way down my back, bigger!!!!! then add some color.....maybe....
do you have an email? (dumb question, need coffee, been awake since 4am), if so, i will send you a pic of my wings, as well as the 2 pics of what i want :)

i wish i wasn't a loser on disability, then i could afford to pimp up my wings. i have so many more tats i want, i have a folder on my computer of; ones i want, ones i love, ones i just like, ones i just think are pretty :) alot are in one of my facebook photo albums, check it if ya have time luv. i don't know if mine are up there. i'm kind of self-conscious about them......

k, nuff babblin for now, after reading every word you wrote in your tat section of this site, i agreed, in my mind, that the experience of ben inking me was wonderful :)
look fwd to emailing you the 3 pics of wings. will layoff for now, i feel like i'm overwhelming you. don't wanna do that!!!!!

I wish my mom were as cool as you! I am a girl with 20 tattoos, and counting. I am also vegan and pro-gay marriage! I shaved my head in September of '08. It has since grown back, but it's definitely an interesting experience! You're an inspiration! Thank you!

hi jinx, i am bringing home my twin boys this week for the very first time since they first arrived in this world 3 mths ago (after a high risk pregnancy born at 25 weeks they have been in the hospital). Your blog on 'what october 7 means to me' is very sweet and reminded me to savour the moment not just 'handle' the process. Any other clues, tips or insights on raising twins (with a toddler in tow) received gratefully!
