InkEditor.com: What I've Been Up To Since Quitting My Job

As you may remember, a few weeks ago I quit my old job. A gig I began in 1997 and one that had been a successful, yet draining venture. Successful in the sense that it paid the bills, draining in the sense that it was sucking up my time, energy, and attention; hindering me from pursuing a career focused on words and writing.

Removing the monster strapped to my back was liberating. Starting all over again was scary. When you are in the “talking stages” of a new career it is dreamy and idyllic. When you are in the “planning stages” you begin evaluating and analyzing options. But when you really put your plan into action it’s a whole new ballgame. The safety net you were once used to has vanished and you are up there walking the tightrope of new destinations. Uncertain, yet hopeful. That idea that was once a dream is actually in motion and it’s up to you to keep the engine humming smoothly. Knowing there will be bumps and detours along the way, but moving ahead and offering up affirmations.

Here are glimpses of my first steps taken. You can read a bit about what I hope to offer to others and what those services will entail. If you happen to know of a tattooist, painter, photographer, designer, or artisan in need of some prose polishing, proofreading, or any of the services I offer, please send them in my direction. If you ARE one of the aforementioned, just fill out my quote request form and we can get to work.

There are more exciting ideas and plans which are taking shape, of which I’ll be sharing more details of soon. Thanks for such constant support. Now, more than ever, I realize how valuable my friends and readers are. Appreciation in large doses is what I have for you.

What goals and dreams do you have? Find your strengths and let them work for you. Set your ideas into motion and forge ahead. I can't guarantee that it won't be scary and challenging, but you will also never know what happiness lies ahead unless you try.
